All of our makers are members of the Craft Potters Association and each of them have a story to tell.

Adam Frew

Adam Frew creates functional porcelain pieces and large one-off pots. His pieces are clean, traditional, forms thrown on the potters wheel that subtly show the makers hand and create a sense of life from the craftmanship of his work.

Adela Powell

Adela studied the natural sciences and her work reflects a depth of observation of the natural world. Universal patterns, textures, and forms in nature, where science and art are inseparable, were Adela’s constant source of inspiration. She was particularly drawn to fragmentation and erosion, which she attempted to incorporate in her work, allowing fortuitous accidents and influences from the subconscious to enrich the process.

Mandy Cheng

Mandy Cheng’s focus is on porcelain and to make pots that are unique ergonomic forms. Her works are designed to be graceful and minimalist, to conjure a feeling of lightness and a sense of movement.
The signature mesmerizing patterns mimic the vivid diversity of nature. Using the nerikomi method, the patterns are meticulously prepared by repeated cutting and layering of plain and coloured porcelain sheets.

Antonia Salmon

Antonia Salmon’s ceramic sculptures have been exhibited and sold into collections throughout the UK and internationally for over 35 years. She has also worked with interior designers and individuals to complete commissions for corporate, hotel and home collections.

Sue Paraskeva

Sue’s multidisciplinary conceptual practice comprises stand-alone pieces, installation, film and tableware, collectively defined by a distinct language.  Current work is rooted in traditional techniques, thrown forms made on the wheel, firing in real flame kilns and using natural wood ash deposits and the reduction flame to add unpredictable embellishment.

Sara Dodd

Sara Dodd is a Welsh ceramic artist living and working in North London. Training at Cardiff Metropolitan University, Sara graduated in 2013 with a BA(Hons) in Ceramics. Sara is interested in sky and landscapes often referencing the regions of South Wales where she grew up. Sara has recently begun exploring the passage of time in relation to these ideas and locations.
