This sculptural open vessel is hand-built in white earthenware clay. The abstract and detailed surface of the exterior is achieved through inscribed marks, incising and scarifying through layers of subtly coloured matt vitreous slips and burnished terra sigillata. It features a contrasting pastel pink interior.
