A hand-built earthenware set of two bowls plus spoons worked on with multiple layers of coloured slips, drawn and relief printed images. Sgraffito drawing or texture is added and may be inlaid with slips. It is enhanced with subtle underglaze colours and finished with a transparent glaze.

This piece is from the ‘Farnhill Moor’ collection. Pirton is a Hertfordshire village, home of Anna’s late mother. Her house looks over the ancient Driftway and the surrounding chalky fields are planted with rapeseed or wheat. The fields are drained with ditches and willow or alder hedges.
