Katharina was experimenting with clay as soon as she could reach the pedals on her mother's wheel. Since setting up her business in Cambridge in 2016, Katharina's work has received many accolades, including receiving the Silver Award (Ceramics) in the Craft&Design Selected Maker Awards.
Vanessa's work is influenced by natural patterns, colours and forms found in and beside the sea. Over time Vanessa has developed her own technique of using slip as a resist and for texture to pattern her sawdust fired pots.
From an early age Penny enjoyed playing with clay at home as her mother had a small pottery studio. However, it was not until she lived in Japan in her twenties that she became more seriously interested in making pots.
Rachel has worked with porcelain since graduating from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2005. Rachel makes installations of miniature wheel-thrown porcelain vessels. These collections of vessels are grouped in a specific way to give meaning to a particular collection, representing family, relationships, and emotional ties.
Hajeong Lee Rogers grew up in a suburb of Seoul the South Korean capital. She has received many awards for her work including the National Award for Craft Art in 2005, which was awarded for a large ceramic sculpture - the size of a small car. Her pieces are held in collections across the UK, and within the USA.
Patricia has been living and working on the Isle of Skye for the past 25 years. Her work is informed and inspired by the powerful landscape of the island.
