Wendy’s work is characterized by playfulness, gentle colour palettes, and illustrative qualities. She crafts both functional and non-functional pieces, drawing on a versatile foundation of slab building, pinching, and wheel throwing.
Wendy’s recent practice focuses on intuitive, freehand mark-making across slabbed and thrown forms. By layering slips and glazes, she creates rich patterns and a painterly surface depth that celebrates the spontaneous interaction between form, colour, and texture.
Wendy is a Fellow of the Craft Potters Association, having first joined as a student member after graduating in ceramics from Derby College in 1990.
