This sculptural vessel is hand-built in stoneware and porcelain clays. Gabriele’s inspiration derives from geological landscape and how different layers of sediment combine in rock formations, leading to the idea of combining quite opposite materials like stoneware clay and porcelain, while still celebrating the feel of unglazed clay.

About this maker
Gaby trained in Ceramics at Goldsmiths College and established her studio in 1982 with the help of a Crafts Council Setting-up Grant. She has exhibited widely in the UK, Europe and America, and China, and her work is represented worldwide in private and public collections.
