All of our makers are members of the Craft Potters Association and each of them have a story to tell.

Emily Stubbs

Based in North Yorkshire, Emily graduated with a BA(Hons) in Ceramics from University of Wales, Cardiff in 2007. She went on to co-found PICA Studios - an artist led studio collective of 23 artists, makers, writers, and thinkers set within an 18th century printworks in the centre of historic York.

David Binns

Following a childhood passion for making, David studied wood/metal/ceramics at Manchester Polytechnic. Following an introduction to traditional Japanese architecture, David developed a broader fascination for Japanese craft and aesthetics, which led him to write his dissertation on Raku.  Researching the Raku process in turn, led to meeting master Raku maker David Roberts who offered David an opportunity to work with him.

Jaeeun Kim

Jaeeun Kim is a South Korean ceramic artist working in London. She began her artistic career in ceramics and art therapy. After earning a Masters degree in Ceramic Art from Kyunghee University in South Korea, she worked as a ceramic artist, university lecturer, and art therapist for disabled children.

Judy McKenzie

After a long and varied career in design and printing, Judy changed direction and followed her passion for ceramics.  At the age of sixty she enrolled for a 3D Craft and Design BA at a local college and graduated with a 1st Class (Hons). Judy went on to gain an MA at the Royal College of Art, specialising in Nerikomi and Kintsugi.

John Jelfs' work has been widely exhibited in leading galleries including the Victoria & Albert Museum, Alpha House in Sherborne, Beaux Arts, Bath, Rufford Ceramics Centre in Nottingham and is also included in many collections in the UK and abroad.

Josefina Isaza

Josefina is a Colombian born ceramicist living and working in London. She gained a BFA in crafts from The University of the Arts, Philadelphia, under the guidance of world-renowned potter, James Makins.
