All of our makers are members of the Craft Potters Association and each of them have a story to tell.

Jenny Southam

Jenny Southam studied Fine Art in Bristol where she developed her practice in Sculpture, gravitating towards bronze. After several years working as a sculptor and bronze-casting assistant in Gloucestershire she moved to Devon, where she embraced clay as her medium of choice. For thirty years her family, home, garden and studio has formed an integrated whole.

Landscape is pivotal to Sarah’s work, expressed in an oblique way. A distillation of her responses to the transient moments of mud and weather, sun, season and the clay in her hand. Like the changing weather, her approach constantly shifts as she explores shapes, colours, textures and markings.

Jin Eui Kim

Jin Eui Kim is an internationally renowned ceramic artist. Originally from South Korea, he now lives and works in Cardiff, UK.

Whilst at Cardiff School of Art & Design, Jin Eui studied the illusory effects of the application of tonal bands to three-dimensional surfaces. He graduated with an MA and PhD in Ceramics.
