Linda studied sculpture at Cheltenham College of Art where James Campbell, her inspirational teacher, encouraged her to experiment and form her ideas in clay. Then came an opportunity through potter William Newland to work with the sculptor Beth Blik, who encouraged her to gain an Art Teachers Certificate at The Institute of Education, London University. Whilst teaching in Winchester, she set up her studio making domestic ware, selling in galleries in London and throughout Britain.
Kate studied 3D Design at the University of Brighton. After graduating, she participated in an international ceramic residency in Japan where she worked alongside established Japanese, Korean, and American artists. On her return, Kate set up her ceramic studio in London where she worked for nearly ten years. She now works from her garden studio in Kent making raku and stoneware pieces.
Sean's love of slipware first began whilst attending the studio pottery course at Harrow College of Art in the late 1980s. Now 30 years and three workshops later he is still making slipware. Since 2007, after moving from London, Sean has been working in an old converted stone barn in Southern Brittany, France.
Patia studied at Harrow College of Further Education 1986 – 1988 and subsequently spent a further two years at Cardiff School of Art and Design from 1998 – 1990. During her time at Harrow and Cardiff she was tutored by Mick Casson, which after her graduation led to an invitation by Mick and Sheila Casson to join the team at Wobage in 1990. This is where Patia continues to work today in her own workshop making slip decorated earthenware and high-fired ash and feldspathic glazed porcelain. Patia was made a Fellow of the CPA in 2015, and has exhibited in the UK, Japan and Europe.
Sun Kim is a Korean ceramicist born in Saudi Arabia. She received her first BA in Fine Arts in Brazil where she grew up. Following that she continued her studies in ceramics, graduating with a second BA from Alfred University, New York in 2003. In 2004, she moved to the UK to undertake a studio assistantship with Edmund de Waal. In 2007, she set up her own practice in South London where she is currently based.
Penny Fowler is a London based potter whose work reflects 21st century living in the capital. Using porcelain and bone china clays, her work is characterised by clean, precise lines and forms using a strong palette.
