CI425Y85 Maritimus
This hand-built sculptural assemblage is press moulded using a mixed clay body. It is made from a cast of a Hebridean float, decorated with a dry glaze and oxide, combined with a black stoneware vessel, and a meandering steel fragment.
The piece consists of separate elements to be installed in place. The vessel is fixed to the base. The steel wire – a found object from the forge at the steam museum where her studio is based – is loose and slots into the neck.
